Reno Aces 7, Omaha Storm Chasers 3: Frank Duncan found some consistency after struggling for most of the season, holding Omaha to 2 runs in 7 innings. The offense cooked up a storm of its own with 6 runs in the 6th-8th innings to make Duncan a winner. Zach Borenstein and Carlos Rivero belted out solo shots in the win. Oswaldo Arcia had 2 hits and drove in 2 in 5 trips to the plate. Jake Barrett allowed 1 hit in 1 inning, but faced the minimum thanks to a double play.
Jackson Generals vs. Montgomery Biscuits rained out
Visalia Rawhide 2, Rancho Cucamonga 3: Once again Justin Donatella pitched well, but bad run support and terrible relief pitching screwed him out of a win. Donatella allowed only 5 baserunners in 5 1⁄3 innings and left with one of them on base in the 6th, later to be stranded. The Rawhide held a 2-1 lead going into the 8th, but Bud Jeter gave up the tying and go ahead runs in that frame to take defeat from the jaws of victory. The Rawhide had only 3 hits in the game, which is pretty impressive they were able to plate 2 runs.
Kane County Cougars 1, Quad Cities River Bandits 0: The Cougars shutout streak extends to 3 against the River Bandits and their 2nd 1-0 shutout win in that span. Emilio Vargas pitched the first 5 innings, walked 2 and struck out 1. The offense was pretty dormant, but scratched a run across on a Anfernee Grier RBI single to score Fernery Ozuna in the 8th. Grier went 2 for 3 with a walk and a stolen base. Wei-Chieh Huang pitched 2 perfect innings and Ryan Burr pitched a scoreless 8th to pick up the win. Tommy Eveld with a 1-0 lead retired all 3 hitters on ground balls for the save.
