A new series starts today. The Dbacks face the Padres for a 3 game series at Petco field. Walker (3.91 ERA), Ray (4.57 ERA), and Godley (1.93 ERA) match up against Weaver (6.05 ERA), Perdomo (4.19 ERA), and Richard (4.86 ERA).
The Dbacks are coming off of a much needed sweep of the Mets at home to pull within 2 games of the Rockies for the Division lead. This ties them with the Dodgers who also have a record of 24-18.
This will be a short road trip to San Diego (15-28), then back home to play the White Sox (17-22) for a 3 game set at Chase Field starting Monday.
Hopefully these two series will give the DBacks a chance to pull back into the lead for the division. The Rockies play the Reds (19-21), then the Phillies (14-24). So maybe I’m getting my hopes up.
