In game two of their three game series the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Diego Padres came together on Wednesday evening at Petco Park in San Diego for a pitcher's duel.

The Padres Jhoulys Chacin sat down the final 14 Diamondbacks he faced in a row before being lifted after eight shutout innings. Chacin allowed four-hits and struck out five. Brandon Maurer came in the ninth and recorded the save.
A.J. Pollock led all Diamondbacks with two hits.
The loss dropped the Diamondbacks to 10-6 and ended their three-game winning streak.
With the win the Padres improved to 6-10 but San Diego is tied with the San Francisco Giants at the bottom of the NL West standings.
