The Arizona Diamondbacks made 4 roster moves and have 45 players left in camp.

Optioned to Triple-A Reno:

RHP Matt Koch

RHP Braden Shipley

Reassigned to Minor League camp:

INF/OF Jason Pridie

RHP Keyvius Sampson

I was just actually writing up a bit about Shipley, so I’ll say not much more about that move here, but it doesn’t come as too much of a surprise. Koch, too, is likely going to be depth, and probably sits behind Shipley and Archie Bradley on the team’s depth chart. Pridie and Sampson were both non-roster invitees, who were relatively long shots for roster spots. Sampson saw his share of action, tossing 8.2 innings with a decent 3.12 ERA and K:BB ratio of 8:3, so didn’t waste his opportunity. Pridie has actually appeared in more Cactus League games than anyone (20), but his line of .200/.282/.343 didn’t do much to suggest he deserved further attention at this point.

Time to update the Roster Watch spreadsheet, I guess!
