Arizona Diamondbacks Spring Training Gameday Thread, #7: 3/2 vs. Chicago Cubs

Time to take on the World Series champion Cubs. Nope, still sounds strange.

The second part of the day’s Salt River Fields double-header, sees a second outing for Shelby Miller. He looked okay in his last outing - probably better than the final box-score would indicate: he allowed three hits and two runs over two innings, but walked none and struck out three. As noted previously, his regular season struggles were foreshadowed by spring problems throwing strikes, so I’m hopeful we will see better results in this area, and they will be similarly ominous for 2017.

Tonight’s game will be available to listen to, online, through dbacks.com. I am rather more confident about it than I was with the White Sox game. But it’ll be a nice way to warm up for tomorrow’s first televised contest!
