Another day, still no sign of Yasmany Tomas. Interesting. We’re still also waiting for an update on the status of Silvino Bracho who apparently did something to his right hamstring while pitching for Venezuela against Italy in the World Baseball Classic yesterday. Speaking of which, today sees four more games there. The Dominican Republic are already beating Colombia at time of writing, and by the time this post goes up Italy will also be taking on Puerto Rico. Then later, we’ve got the battle for North American supremacy as Canada face Team USA, and we finish off with Mexico going up against Venezuela. I haven’t been able to watch many of the games so far, but they’ve been getting rave reviews, so today might let me catch up!

Meanwhile, the D-backs will be facing the Giants again, but it’ll be a full-strength squad rather than the split squad whom we beat 6-3 at Salt River Fields yesterday. Bradley has not had the best of spring trainings so far, to put it mildly, with an ugly 17.47 ERA and 7:4 K:BB. Patrick Corbin, his main rival for the fifth starting spot, has hardly been lights out, but his line looks a lot better, with a 5.40 ERA and a 9:3 K:BB. If Bradley doesn’t get things straightened out quickly, he’ll need to start checking Craigslist for rentals in Reno. Radio only for this one from our point of view, on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM.
