Shelby Miller did not impress in his second start back. He pitched four and a third innings tonight, and gave up runs in three of them. That included a three run third, which was the difference in the game. His final line was 4.1 IP, 11 H, 5 R, all of which were earned. One positive was the zero walks, but I guess it's hard to walk people when they're just hitting everything for a single to Tomas.
The offense wasn't much better, only managing two runs and a small handful of hits. They did get a home run, courtesyof Pollock, but other than that, they didn't really manage to put up much of a fight.
One bright spot was the bullpen. They held the Dodgers scoreless for three and two thirds innings, lead by a great one and two thirds outing from Edwin Escobar. Collectively, they didn't let LA get a hit, and only allowed two walks with four strikeouts. More details to follow in the full recap.
