Snake Bytes 8/3: Downed in the 5th Again

Robbie Ray ran into difficulties with two out in the fifth inning and Daniel Hudson had another performance to forget. Meanwhile Paul Goldschmidt and Jake Lamb continued to be excellent, but not enough in themselves to overcome the team’s continued pitching woes, which led to yet another home loss.

Pollock Faces Live Pitching

Tuesdays saw injured Diamondbacks’ center fielder, A.J. Pollock, take live batting practice for the first time since breaking his elbow on April 1st. He faced off against rehabbing Arizona starter, Rubby De La Rosa, and was joined by rehabbing backup catcher, Chris Hermann.
