Diamondbacks 4, Braves 7

The struggles of the Diamondbacks bullpen continued, with Jake Barrett giving up a bases clearing double in the eighth inning.

It was always a struggle for Archie Bradley tonight, as he had issues throwing strikes. But he worked out of a couple of bases loaded jams, and managed to get through five innings. He scattered seven hits and three walks, striking out seven and was charged with three earned runs. But he left with a lead, thanks to a four-run third inning. Yasmany Tomas had a two-run single and Jake Lamb followed with a two-run ground rule double.

After scoreless innings from Randall Delgado and Edwin Escobar, the Diamondbacks still had the lead going into the eighth. But it was Jake Barrett's turn to blow the lead, giving up the key hit to Matt Kemp, which allowed the Braves to score the tying and go-ahead runs. An error by Mitch Haniger gave Atlanta another run. As I write this,  Dominic Leone is pitching the ninth. I'm not optimistic.

ish95 will be along with the full recap in a bit.
