Double-A Mobile - off-day.
High-A Visalia 0, Bakersfield 1. Alex Young was the really unlucky loser here, giving up an unearned run in six innings on four hits and three walks with three strikeouts. But it was enough, as Visalia were one-hit by five Blaze pitchers. A throwing error by 3B Joe Munoz opened the door for Bakersfield to score in the third. LF Victor Reyes’s one-out single in the sixth was Visalia’s sole hit, as they fanned 18 times. Three relievers, including Andrew Chafin, combined for three hitless innings.
