The Diamondbacks scored first, getting on the board as Jean Segura crushed his 6th home-run of the season to lead-off the game. Two outs later, Yasmany Tomas drove in Paul Goldschmidt to make it 2-0. However, the Giants struck back in the bottom of the second. Segura had been hit in the fore-arm again in the top-half and both benches were warned after Patrick Corbin threw behind Buster Posey.
