The Diamondbacks scored first, getting on the board as Jean Segura crushed his 6th home-run of the season to lead-off the game. Two outs later, Yasmany Tomas drove in Paul Goldschmidt to make it 2-0. However, the Giants struck back in the bottom of the second. Segura had been hit in the fore-arm again in the top-half and both benches were warned after Patrick Corbin threw behind Buster Posey. Bruce Bocby was ejected, but Posey was eventually walked and Brandon Crawford promptly homered, to tie the game.

The Giants then took advantage of the latest Jake Lamb throwing error. to score two unearned runs n the third. A bases loaded walk in the fifth ended Corbin's night and also got Chip Hale ejected: how often do BOTH managers get thrown out in the same game? Corbin was charged with three earned runs in 4.2 innings, on five hits and an ugly five walks, though wasn't helped by the strike-zone. Silvino Bracho allowed the final run in the eighth. On offense, Goldschmidt had two hits and Jake Lamb a pair of walks. However, Jake failed to hit, thereby earning curses from Mrs. SnakePit, as he ended her Beat The Streak run at 9...
