Pit Your Wits '16: Week 11

The referendum votes are in... Who is leaving MLB?

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Last week I asked you to vote on who would Basexit from Major League baseball. Lots of popular responses, with a red comment being left off the podium entirely. I guess there are a lot of teams you all want to see leave the league! Anyway, in first place Diamondhacks and Jim!

This is just the beginning

The Rockies

The only way they’ll ever win their division, is if they are the only ones in it…

Something opinions expressed something something

In second place, we once again find TylerO sitting on the podium!

"Give me pitchers hitting or give me independence!"

I would hope that my Diamondbacks would exit if we were faced with an influx of migrants of the Designated Hitter variety.

Just when I find a suitably pessimistic sig, they do something positive!

And in third, we have another perennial visitor to the podium, Oldenschoole!

The Houston Astros
Chairman of the Goose Gossage for MLB Commissioner national committee.

because if Texas Texits (get it?), they will truly be the Lone Star state.

An honorable mention should go to onedotfive who's comment was turned red, however she only had four recs, just missing the podium. And now for the updated standings. TylerO scoots away from the field a bit more, and Oldenschoole takes second! We're quickly approaching the All Star Break, where we'll crown our first half winner. It's much closer than it looks, folks. One or two highly rec'd comments could completely change up the entire leader board. Every comment, every rec, has the potential to be a winner!

Bringing it back a bit closer to baseball this week. Look, it's no secret at this point that the Dbacks aren't very good this year. In fact, at home, they're downright terrible. At the beginning of the season, a few thousand poor souls spent their hard earned money to watch all 81 home games this atrocious team will play. Come up with an idea what they could do with that money if they got a refund. Go!
