Tired Bullpen Keeps Diamondbacks from Another Late Comeback
This headline is actually very inaccurate. The biggest pitching reasons the Diamondbacks lost were Shelby Miller (not in the bullpen) and Josh Collmenter, who should be the opposite of tired. In fact, not pitching for 10 days probably had more to do with his poor performance than being tired.
Shelby Miller Hit Hard as Diamondbacks Bullpen Gets Rest
I'd still expect Hudson to be unavailable today, but I'm more than fine with Jake Barrett filling in for the eighth inning.
Bourn Homers, but Miller Roughed Up in Loss
Oh, and that defense didn't help at all. Which is worse, the Rockies OF defense back in the day, or the current Diamondbacks OF defense?

Yasmany Tomas Continues to Rake on Road
Also inside, it is revealed that Hale was planning to play Drury against the LHP, despite Lamb having homered off of him on opening day (and walked) and Drury being poor offensively for a while. Honestly, if this team could just get out of its own way, they'd be contending.

Coastal Carolina, Arizona, Defy Expectations to Reach CWS Final
Plenty of Diamondbacks connections in the final. Kevin Ginkle of Arizona was the 22nd round pick by the Diamondbacks, and of course Connor Owings was the 34th round pick, as well as being the brother of Chris Owings. The final starts Monday at 4 pm Arizona time on the Worldwide Leader, with Tuesday's game at 5 and Wednesday's (if necessary) also at 5.
