Clayton Kershaw was very, Clayton Kershaw, striking out 11 Diamondbacks in 7 1/3 innings of work. Things might have been different for the Dodgers if a certain Goldy hit had been just a few inches higher, in order to clear the yellow line it struck. Patrick Corbin managed to go 6 1/3 innings himself, but was finally bitten by a ball off the bat of Scott Van Slyke which did go far enough to clear the wall, giving the Dodgers their only three runs of the night.
