Any game where your pitching gives up four home runs, you’re going to have a hard time getting the win, and that was exactly what happened tonight. Archie Bradley started off really strong, getting six K’s in the first four innings, one walk, and sat down twelve in a row. In the fifth, it all fell apart. A solo home run, two walks, and a two RBI single from Chase Utley erased the two run lead the Diamondbacks had going in to the inning. Two more homers in the sixth and another in the seventh pushed the game out of reach despite the offense’s best efforts.

They did do well, getting two runs early on, tying the game up in the fifth, and cutting the lead to one in the sixth. Jean Segura had a four hit night, and Goldschmidt extended his hitting streak. It just wasn't enough. Full recap to follow.
