He became the first position player to pitch for the Cardinals in over two years. The Diamondbacks haven't used a position player in that role since Josh Wilson in 2009, making this perhaps the one area where the Diamondbacks are better than the Cardinals.

Collmenter has two rehab outings left. While he has options left, I think he would have to accept an option, due to his service time. If he's right, of course, the Diamondbacks need him.
