New, comments

Just a friendly reminder that SF acquired Johnny Cueto for just $10 million more than the Diamondbacks offered. Let that sink in.

Diamondback News

Cueto strong, Greinke struggles again as Giants top D'Backs - Greinke looked strong for 4 innings.  It even looked for a while there like it might be a 1-0 game.  Then suddenly in the 5th Greinke didn't just look hittable, they were barreling balls against him.  He was leaving pitches up in the zone and seemed to have lost his usual control.  But I will say in his defense, there seemed to be a LOT of strike pitches that were called balls against him.  A squeezed zone is a hitters zone.

Paul Goldschmidt’s batting average continues to drop in loss to Giants - At some point, I think you have to drop him down in the lineup.  Perhaps even give him a 2 day break.  He just doesn't look comfortable at the plate.

Arizona Diamondbacks rename Phoenix street to honor legend Randy Johnson - A bunch of presidents and one baseball player.  Take that Harriet Tubman!

3 trades Diamondbacks would probably like to have back - Only 3?  How about 2/3rds of the Kevin Towers trades?

SAN FRANCISCO AT ARIZONA Preview - Speaking of terrible trades.... Shelby Miller taking the ball tonight.

David Peralta Injury: Updates on Diamondbacks OF's Wrist and Return - I think they're keeping him off the field so they can do a retroactive 15 day DL at some point soon and call up O'Brien or even Brito.  Is there any way we could send Shelby Miller to the DL instead?

She's A Columbia College Grad And Diamondbacks' Official Team Photographer - A real nice story.

Diamondbacks' Jean Segura: Three more hits, steal in loss - Should be at the All Star game if there is any justice.

D-backs CEO Derrick Hall answers fan questions - Interesting to see what he has to say from time to time.

Giants closer Santiago Casilla on his ninth-inning exchange with Bruce Bochy: “It shows the manager didn’t have faith in me” - I wondered how this was going to feel.  But apparently Bruce didn't think Casilla should try out throw left handed in the last 3rd of the bottom of the 9th inning.
