While the rest of the world gets excited over Opening Day, millions of armchair GM's draft their players hoping to show they have what it takes to be a champion. The first heartbreak has already occurred with A.J Pollock potentially out for the season, others set their lineups in hopes that this is their year to achieve the ultimate goal.
Listed below are the 1st round picks of the top 14-man league of the AzSnakepit.

To my surprise we saw both of the rookie phenoms, Carlos Correa and Kris Bryant, come off the board in the 1st round. Goldschmidt was drafted 2nd overall, tying with Justin Upton as the highest drafted Diamondbacks player. Some players usually found in the 1st round fell unexpectedly, such as Jose Bautista and Buster Posey.
Despite having arguably a more talented roster only 12 Diamondbacks were selected in the draft this season, which is 3 less than last seasons 15. Those players are listed below with their corresponding overall selection.

As in previous seasons, there are two "feeder" leagues, whose winners will be eligible for promotion to the top tier in 2016. I know a couple of you have mentioned you weren't invited to the other leagues, and if there is interest, we could potentially fill a 3rd league. If you'd like to participate in a late draft, mention it down below and we can get things rolling. As always, best of luck this season and hopefully injuries don't hurt you as much as it has the real team!
