Rubby! Normally he rubs me the wrong way but tonight he had me smelling roses.

De La Rosa took the pump to start for the Diamondbacks, and he had his A game tonight. How does 7 innings and 10 strikeouts with no runs allowed sound? Sounds pretty good! Now, how much would you anticipate to pay for this in a store? $10? $20? What if I told you it normally retails at a price of $49.99 but YOU can order it with 5 easy payments of $10.99. And if you order within the next 15 minutes, we'll throw in a carrot peeler, at a $30 value!!!

It was a great night for Drury as well. You might have been expecting a dreary performance, but he really expanded his brand on this game. He would score in the 2nd after being brought home with a Chris Hermann homer. Then Drury would get a four-bagger of his own to give the Diamondbacks a 3-0 lead that they'd hold the rest of the game.

Michael Wacha started for the visiting Cardinals, and although he wasn't The Banana Bit bad, those home runs given up must have made Cards fans go bananas. I guess a win for him tonight wasn't in the cards.

Zeigler came into close and made it a little scary when he let two on and fell behind on a 2-0 count against Yadier Molina. He was able to call up a double-play, though, and a loud out to deep right field ended the game allowed the Diamondbacks to again summit Mount .500.

Tomorrow the Diamondbacks stay in Chase Field to face off against the Colorado Rockie in what is only the 4th game in a season series with possibly 3000 games. First pitch should be 6:40pm Arizona Time, so tune in? I dunno.
