Spring Training Gameday Thread #7: 3/6, Diamondbacks vs. Cubs

The Cubs are a lot of people's pick to do well in the National League this year., and here's our first chance to see them in action, against the Diamondbacks at Salt River Fields.

This is another contest available both on the television and the radio. It's on and also Fox Sports Arizona - but, please note, for the latter, looks like it will be on their FSA+ channel, not the regular one. This page should help you locate it on your provider. Radio-wise, it's ESPN Phoenix 620 you need to be on. Hopefully, we can figure it out: I'm meeting Turambar at the Rose & Crown for a pre-season beercap, which should be interesting. If the Cubs are as good as advertised, I may need to drink heavily!

Still, at least this looks a better line-up for Arizona than yesterday, with Pollock and Goldschmidt back in the fray - as Preston noted in Snake Bytes, it's closer to an Opening Day line-up than what we've seen, though interesting to see Segura at shortstop today. He has begun well, but I trust I need hardly revisit the history of all the previous springs, and players who have done well there, only to turn back into pumpkins once the clock strikes 12 on Opening Day. We will also get to see Corbin for the first time in spring.
