Our two hundred million dollar man takes the mound for the first time in an actual game scenario - albeit for a couple of innings in spring training. Still, there will be a great deal of interest in seeing what he brings to the game, and it's a bit of a shame this is not one of the televised contests. Instead, we'll have to rely on the box-score, social media and the asteroids, who are scheduled to be in attendance. It's also good to see A.J. Pollock back in the line-up after he missed the first couple of spring training games with a sore arm. Always a little nerve-wracking to see players with health issues at the very beginning of the pre-season!

But today is mostly going to be about Greinke. Just remember, this is not only spring, it's the first outing of spring, and the outcome is almost entirely meaningless. If he's great, that's wonderful - albeit a low-key, empty kind of wonderful. If he sucks? Go find yourself a paper-bag, and take a few deep breaths out of it. Because the next six years are not going to be decided by a couple of March innings in Scottsdale.
