Spring Training Gameday Thread #27: 3/26, Diamondbacks @ Brewers

Off to Maryvale go the Diamondbacks, looking to go ten in a row without being beaten.

  3. Paul Goldschmidt, 1B

  5. Yasmany Tomas, LF
  6. Chris Herrmann, C
  7. Brandon Drury, 3B
  8. Patrick Corbin, P
  9. Jason Bourgeois, CF
+ P (in no particular order) Wesley Wright, Tyler Clippard, Sam LeCure, Enrique Burgos

Our #3 starter makes his penultimate spring start, and he now has a good idea who he'll be facing a week on Wednesday, as the Rockies have announced their starters for the opening games against the Diamondbacks. Opening Day sees Zack Greinke take on Jorge De La Rosa, with the second contest having a match-up of Shelby Miller versus Chad Bettis, before Corbin probably faces Tyler Chatwood when we (hopefully) go for the series sweep. Got to like those match-ups for us, not least because De La Rosa has a 1-7 record over 10 starts at Chase Field, while Greinke is 6-2 in the same number of appearances.

Unless you have mlb.tv, this one will be radio only, coming to you on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM. Looks like it IS on FSAZ, but that will be the Brewers' version of the game. IRecap may be a little terse, depending when exactly this finishes, as we're off to a local pro wrestling show tonight, which requires a timely exit. So here's to a 1-0 D-backs win, though the way our offense has been playing of late, that seems kinda unlikely!
