Back to the DH today, in a gesture of solidarity with our friends from the American League, which means potential backup catcher or 25th man gets the job today. The offense is continuing to roll, having now averaged 7.28 runs per game over a 25-game streak. The Diamondbacks have never done that over the regular season: their best average in any 25-game span is 6.92, back in 1999 from May 15 to June 11. They haven't averaged more than six runs per game since 2008, when they put up 6.04 from April 6 through May 3. So, we're completely in uncharted territory, and I have to say, odds against it continuing into the regular season. But let's enjoy it while it lasts, eh?

Today's game will be broadcast on both Fox Sports Arizona and MLB.tv.  Derrick Hall will join Steve Berthiaume and Bob Brenly in the booth today, starting in the top of the third inning. Wonder what they will be talking about?
