Another day, another absence of Pollock. With less than two weeks now until Opening Day, it does seem increasingly like we may need to look at a Plan B in terms of coverage: most probably B as in Brito. Interesting to see De La Rosa starting against a division rival, as we have a four-game set in San Francisco in mid-March, so odds are he'll be seeing them in-game there. It's a contrast to his previous start being on the back fields in a minor league game; perhaps they still want him to face some major-leaguers. Though I note a trio of relievers pitched this afternoon in a minor-league game with Visalia - Marshall seemed to do particularly well:
- Randall Delgado: 3.0 IP, 3 H, 1 R/ER, 4 K, 2 BB
- Andrew Chafin: 2.0 IP, 2 H, 3 R/1 ER, 2 K, 1 BB
- Evan Marshall: 2.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R/ER, 5 K, 0 BB
This one is on TV - as last night, it's Fox Sports Arizona Plus. There's also radio through MLB.com
