Optioned:

- Keith Hessler LHP Mobile
- Gabriel Guerrero OF Mobile
Reassigned to Minor League Camp:
- Zach Borenstein OF
The moves this afternoon thin out the competition for the #5 spot, which now appears to come down to Robbie Ray and Zack Godley, with the former likely the prohibitive favorite at the present time. Bradley had a rough spring, allowing 15 hits and five walks in his ten innings of work, with nine strikeouts and a 9.00 ERA. Wagner performed better, posting a 4.50 ERA, scattering 11 hits and three walks over his ten frames, fanning six. Hessler's departure leaves Matt Reynolds and Andrew Chafin the only relievers on the 40-man roster, although there are a couple of possibilities among the non-roster invitees.
Moving on to the hitters, both Borenstein and Guerrero had been busy this spring, appearing in 16 and 17 spring games respectively. Zach had decent numbers, hitting .290/.405/.484 over 37 PA; Guerrero had seen 29 PA, with a triple-slash of .250/.276/.429.
The D-backs have 41 players left in camp after these moves.
