I must confess I had to Google today's starting catcher, before I figured out he was one of the non-roster invitees we have in camp this spring. Not sure why the team is going with him, rather than one of the upper-level options today. Perhaps it's tied into the news that Rubby De La Rosa and Robbie Ray will make their next scheduled outings in minor-league games, so that the Cubs and Dodgers hitters won't be able to get to much of a look at them, so it's possible Welington is catching elsewhere this afternoon.

Anyway, let's just hope this St Patrick's Day ends up being kinder to snakes than the subject of the holiday, and we roll on to a ninth consecutive win...
