Spring Training Gameday Thread #13: 3/12, Diamondbacks vs Royals/@ Giants

+ P Rubby De La Rosa and (in no particular order) Matt Reynolds, Brad Ziegler, Silvino Bracho, Josh Collmenter

Looks to me to be about an even split of the squads as far as offense goes, but the home pitching staff looks to have rather more chance of making the Opening Day roster. Ziegler will take the mound for the first time in a game this spring, by design since he wants to limit his spring load, after it worked out well last year. De La Rosa and Bradley will both be making their third appearances in the Cactus League, and there has been room for improvement for both, particularly Rubby, who hasn't done much thus far to justify the early confidence shown by Chip Hale in anointing him the #4 starter.

Both games are available for your viewing pleasure on mlb.tv, with the Giants Royals contest also being carried on Fox Sports Arizona, as well as on the rabio by Arizona Sports 98.7 FM, so I imagine that will probably be the main focus. The Giants one is also reported to be a sell-out, and the weather is looking co-operative with a high only in the low seventies this afternoon. It's a beautiful day for baseball!
