I had been thinking today was Monday, but it is Tuesday, so the thread is up a bit late.
A quick recap of news so far today:
The Red Sox Traded for Tyler Thornburg
Giving up a package that included Travis Shaw. The plan for now is to have Pablo Sandoval play third base; he is supposed to be in shape.
The Yankees Joined the Teams Interested in Brian Dozier
The Dodgers appear to still be the most likely landing place, if the Twins do in fact deal Dozier.
Chris Colabello is now a free agent.
Count the Cardinals among the teams interested in Ian Desmond
The #Stlcards have had internal discussions about possible pursuit of free agent outfielder Ian Desmond

With Melancon signing with the Giants yesterday, and the reported interest of the Marlins (in addition to the usual suspects) in Kenley Jansen, it might be wise for the Diamondbacks to try to land their bullpen arms sooner rather than later. Both Daniel Hudson and Brad Ziegler would belong to the second tier of bullpen arms, and once the top tier is all signed, the bidding for them could get rather steep.
I do suspect that there will be some Diamondbacks news breaking at some point today. Stay tuned and see if I am correct in that assumption.
