First, there was the trade for Taijuan Walker and Ketel Marte (don't overlook Marte entirely in the analysis of the deal; his 2015 featured an OBP of .351 in 247 plate appearances, and he actually looks a bit like a younger Segura.) Both are young and under team control for a long time. This was not the only item of news, however.
