AZ SnakePit Awards: Most valuable player nominations open

We finish handing out the 'Pitties, with the most illustrious non-trophy of them all: the 2015 Diamondbacks MVP. Wonder who it might be?

Yeah, I get the feeling this will be a formality. I suspect I might as well just have a poll with one answer for this one, since I have a fairly good idea who'll be taking the virtual award home. But, hey: it's an honor simply to be nominated. Traditionally, spots in the final poll are reserved for the Rookie of the Year (Nick Ahmed), Unsung Hero (David Peralta) and Pitcher of the Year (Brad Ziegler), so I'll get things kicked off by adding comments for each man below. But I'm prepared to be talked out of that, if any particularly good candidates come up. I can certainly think of two who seem deserving, though I'll leave nominating those up to others.

Usual rules apply: "rec" any names in the comments you think should make the final ballot. If you want to nominate any other names, post their name (and their name alone) in the subject line of a new comment. Number of recs will be taken into consideration when formulating the final ballot, which will go up on Thursday lunchtime, and run through an announcement of the winner on Sunday. I might just be able to get an early jump on that particular article, however...
