Week 21 Results

AZ SnakePit 8, Mizzoula Osprey 2
Snake powered to the biggest win of the round, powered by Hitter of the Week Arenado who had six home-runs and 12 RBI, Harper adding three HR and six RBI. Cain and Eaton each had two HR and drove in six for Mizzoula, and Nelson a W + nine K's. Miley got a W and eight strikeouts for AZ.

MyWieterGetzLongoria 3, Alabama Slammers 7
Slammers swept hitting, with Iglesias striking out ten, while Jepsen notched a Win and a Save; Archer got a W and 11 strikeouts for Wieter. They made a game of it on offense, behind Bryant's pair of home-runs and seven RBI, but Alabama got three HR and six RBI from Ramirez, and held on.

Angry Saguaro 5, Dirk Ziegler 2
R, HR and Sv all ended tied here, but Angry did enough the rest of the way to take this. Trumbo's three HR, plus Kemp's two and nine RBI proved decisive, as Gonzalez added two HR for Dirk. Hamels struck out eight for the Saguaro to lead all pitchers in this one.

Smell the Glove 4, Trail-Hitters 2
Smell upset leaders Trail, though don't recall a game with four categories tied (HR, RBI, W and Sv). Glovel were able to edge this, as Longoria and Cepedes each hit four homers, plus Pitcher of the Week Colon (two W, 0.00 ERA). Keuchel had two W + 20 K for Trail, and David five HR.

Socrates Burritos 4, Yasmany as Possible 5
Yasmany just snatched this, after W ended tied at three; De La Rosa led their pitching staff, with a W and nine strikeouts, while Ray fanned 16 for the Burritos. Socrates also got two HR and nine RBI by Votto, but Zimmerman's four HR and 14 RBI was a big help for the Possibles.

CGS 5, Rougned Hodor 5
Nothing to split these two, which may have ended both their playoff hopes. Rougned got three Saves from Rodriguez, but CGS got a W + 14 strikeouts by Gonzalez, plus three Sv from Chapman. They also got two HR by Fowler, but Hodor came back with the same by Rizzo + Bautista.

Waffles 4, What the Hellickson? 6
With one week left, this would be a rematch in the first round of the post-season. What came out ahead here, behind strong pitching: two W + 11 K from Rodriguez, W + 17 K by Price. But Waffles got four Saves by Wilhelmsen, while Gonzalez added five HR + 14 RBI. Bradley scored nine R for What.

Week 22 schedule

AZ SnakePit vs. CGS
MyWieterGetzLongoria vs. Mizzoula Osprey
Angry Saguaro vs. Alabama Slammers
Smell the Glove vs. Dirk Ziegler
Socrates Burritos vs. Trail-Hitters
Waffles vs. Rougned Hodor
What the Hellickson? vs. Yasmany as Possible

Going into the last round, Trail have clinched the top seed and an opening-round bye; Alabama and AZ look to be fighting for the other bye, with the former having a slightly easier task against 9th-placed Saguaro; Snake face CGS in seventh, who till have a playoff shot. The rest of the current incumbents in the playoff spots all face teams between four and six spots lower, so it will take a major surprise for any of them to be dethroned. But that's why we play the (fantasy) games!
