The semi-finals in the championship bracket produced a blowout and a tie-breaker

Championship Bracket

AZ SnakePit (#4 seed) 1, Trail-Hitters (#1) 9
Snake's hitting deserted them when they needed it most, as they batted just .227 with five HR for the week, despite Arenado driving in 12. he and Pollock each homering twice. Trail got three homers and seven RBI from Correia and Walker drove in seven. They also got two Wins and 16 K's from Keuchel, with Kimbrel vulturing a pair of W plus a Sv, and even Pitcher of the Week Arrieta (two W, 20 K, 0.00 ERA) couldn't save AZ from a thumping defeat.

Alabama Slammers (#2) 5, What the Hellickson? (#3) 5
A single stolen-base proved crucial here, as that allowed What to snatch a tie, and having beaten Alabama in both of their regular season meetings, they went through on the tie-breaker. Alabama hit .313 with two HR by Altuve and Pujols; Goldschmidt had three home-runs for Hellickson. Santana and Price each picked up two W's for them as well, What racking up nine W, 88 K's and a 2.73 ERA. Boxberger saved a trio of games for the Slammers.

Consolation Bracket

Waffles (#5) 3, Rougned Hodor (#6) 7
Rougned scored an upset to finish in fifth place. They swept pitching, as Melancon, Osuna and Rodriguez each saved three, Iwakuma notching a W + 11 K's. Scherzer fanned 12 for Waffles, who also got a pair of home-runs from Gonzalez and Inciarte. But Hodor received three HR and six RBI by Bautista, and cruised home.

CGS (#7) 6, Yasmany as Possible (#11) 4
In the consolation bracket, CGS moved on to the final edging Yasmany both at the plate and on the mound, in a low-power games with only seven HR in total. They got seven RBI from Fielder, with Gonzalez and Bumgarner each picking up nine strikeouts. Miller got a W + two Sv for Possible, Dozier driving in five runs

MyWieterGetzLongoria (#8) 4, Socrates Burritos 4 (#12)
The week's closest game saw Wieter and Socrates battle to a tie, with HR and W each ending tied at five. Wieter took both regular season games 6-3, so they move on. Donaldson had two HR and eight R, with Strasburg fanning 13. Degrom got a W + nine K for the Burritos, Freeman leading their offense with two HR and seven RBI.

Angry Saguaro (#9) 6, Mizzoula Osprey (#10) 4
The 11th/12th place game went Saguaro's way, behind Hitter of the Week Davis (four HR, seven RBI), supported by three home-runs from Carpenter. Syndergaard led their staff on the mound, posting a W and 11 K's. Ross also struck out 11 for Missoula, and Betts scored eight Runs to drive the Osprey's hitters

The final round of games will decide all the final positions. Trail had absolutely no difficulty disposing of What in the regular season, blowing past them twice, with margins of 8-1 and 9-1, but that doesn't have any bearing on the outcome of this week's contest. It's what happens over the next seven days that will decide who takes home the crown in the AZ SnakePit Fantasy League for 2015...
