D-backs 6, Rockies 4

Gosselin showed up in a big way as the Dbacks took the first game of the doubleheader.

After jumping to a quick lead, the bullpen did their best to scare just about all the fans watching before finally closing the door and giving the D-backs a 6-4 victory in Colorado. Phil Gosselin led the way in his 2nd start for the team, reaching base 5 times and finishing 2 for 3 with a homer, double and 4 RBI's. Other contributors include Ender Inciarte and Nick Ahmed with 2 hits each. Actually, the only starters without hits were Brandon Drury, making his MLB debut at 3rd base and Patrick Corbin.

Patrick Corbin was excellent despite tiring down the stretch. He went 6 1/3 IP, giving up 7 H and 2 ER while striking out 4 over 78 pitches. The team is being cautious with him and they have every right to do so. With him still working his way back, it's always the correct call to pull him earlier than you would normally do so. The bullpen scared everyone however, allowing 2 ER over their 2 2/3rd inning to make things close but Daniel Hudson shut the door for the save and a D-backs victory.

The next game of this doubleheader should start in 90 minutes or so. Stick around for that.
