Update on Evan Marshall

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

I know a lot of people on the SnakePit have been concerned about the lack of news regarding Evan Marshall, so i wanted to share this official update we just received.

Pitcher Evan Marshall was struck on the head by a line drive on the right temple during Tuesday night's game in El Paso and as a result, suffered a fractured skull. His injury required surgery to alleviate swelling and pressure and he is in stable condition but remains in the hospital's intensive care unit. He is alert and has been engaging in conversation and is able to walk.

Evan and his family would like to pass along their sincere appreciation to all of the fans and friends for their prayers and well wishes. They would also like to thank the D-backs organization, the Reno Aces, the El Paso Chihuahuas, the hospital staff and everyone who has been involved in helping him return to health and assisting his family during the past several days.

That's good to hear, and we continue to wish Evan all the best for a quick and full recovery to full health, and look forward to seeing him take the mound again in future.
