Dbacks MiLB Round-Up 8/30: Flores Homers Twice in Mobile Win

Rudy Flores homered twice and drove in 4 runs behind Zack Godley's 5 shutout innings for an easy Mobile victory.

AAA: Reno 4 Memphis 6. Brett Shanking gave up 2 runs on 6 hits and 3 walks in 3.2 innings and Justin marks was worse giving up 4 more in his 2.1 innings. The offense could only come up with 4 runs in response in spite of cranking out 15 hits. Todd Glaesmann had 4 of those including his 14th home run. Nick Evans had 3 with a double and 2 RBI while Jamie Romak and Mike Freeman each had 2.

AA: Mobile 7 Montgomery 0. Zack Godley was very good posting 5 shutout innings on 2 hits and 3 walks. John Omahen was just as good with 4 shutout innings right behind him. Rudy Flores provided the offense with 2 home runs and 4 RBI. Jack Reinheimer had 2 hits and an RBI.

A+: Visalia 2 @ Modesto 1. Lucas Irvine picked up his first win for Visalia with 6.2 shutout innings on 4 hits and a walk while striking out 5. Solo HOme runs by Jamie Westbrook and Daniel Palka gave the team a 2-0 lead into the 9th and Nick Sarianides got the save while giving up an unearned run in the 9th.

A: Kane County 4 Beloit 8.Josh Taylor wasn't his best getting rocked for 7 runs in 3+ innings of work. The offense had no answer for that with 7 hits, 2 by Ildemaro Vargas.

A-: Hillsboro 4 @ Eugene 10.Cody Reed got hit pretty hard though the defense did him no favors. he gave up 6 runs but just 2 were earned as Sergio Alcantara had 3 errors. Just Donatella got bumped for 4 more runs and that was pretty much that. The offense produced just 5 hits with 2 by Alexis Olmeda.

R: Missoula 7 @ Great Falls 1. Cameron Smith was outstanding with 6 shutout innings on just one hit and one walk while striking out 4. The offense made sure that was good enough as Raymel Flores went 4 for 4 including his 4th home run for 3 RBI. Jason Morozowski had 2 hits and walk and clubbed his 5th home run. Isan Diaz was 2 for 4 with a double.
