Dbacks MiLB Round-Up 8/28: Bradley Debuts in Reno

Archie Bradley made his first start at the AAA level after 3 starts in High A Visalia and the results were good. He didn't give up any runs but left with one out in the 5th after getting to 94 pitches having allowed 5 hits and 3 walks while striking out 3. Good results but lots of pitches and men on base.

AAA: Reno 6 Memphis 2. Archie Bradley surely held his own in his AAA debut just with some high pitch counts in 4+ shutout innings, Todd Glaesmann packed all the offensive punch with 2 doubles and his 13th home run for 3 RBI. Peter O'Brien added 2 hits including his 24th home run.

AA: Mobile 1 Montgomery 3. Edgar Garcia was very good except for one inning when he gave up a couple of home runs and 3 runs. he got through 6 innings allowing just the 3 runs but the offense had no answer. Three hits was all they could muster with a solo home run by Sean Jamieson.

A+: Visalia 6 @ Modesto 2. Anthony Banda started and was cruising through 3 innings unscathed on 2 hits with 7 strikeouts before being lifted. The bullpen followed with 5 shutout innings before giving up 2 meaningless runs in the 9th and struck out an additional 10 batters for 17 total strikeouts in the game. Tom Jameson got the win for his 2 clean innings. Kevin Cron hit his 27th home run and Gerson Montilla his 8th. Fidel Pena had 3 hits with a double.

A: Kane County - Rained Out

A-: Hillsboro 3 @ Eugene 1.Troy Marks was very good throwing 6 strong innings allowing just one run on 5 hits while striking out 4. Will Landsheft and Cameron Gann followed with 3 shutout innings to cinch the win. Dansby Swanson had a hit and 2 walks while scoring once. Grant Heyman added 2 singles.
