Dbacks MiLB Round-Up 8/10: Mobile Loses in 16

A light schedule tonight with three teams off so the highlight is Mobile going 16 innings before falling.

Snake Stars
3 Stars: Rudy Flores, Mobile 5 for 8, 1 DBL, 1 RBI
2 Stars: Kal Simmons, Missoula 2 for 4, 2 R, 1 HR (1), 1 RBI
1 Star: Fernery Ozuna. Hillsboro 2 for 4, 1 BB, 1 R, 2 DBL
0 Stars: Cody Reed, Hillsboro 2 IP, 7 H, 0 BB, 3 K, 4 ER

AAA: Reno - Off Day

AA: Mobile 5 @ Chattanooga 6. The BayBears used their entire bullpen but went down in 16 innings. Blayne Weller started and gave up 4 runs in 6 innings and then the bullpen went to work. It was mostly effective except for some key spots. Zack Godley pitched 2 shutout innings but got a blown save allowing an inherited runner to score. Mobile took the lead with a run in the 11th but Silvino Bracho couldn't nail it down giving up a run in the bottom half. Adam Miller took the loss when he gave up 3 consecutive hits to start the bottom of the 16th. Rudy Flores had 5 hits in 8 at bats with a double and an RBI. Garrett Webber had 3 hits plus a walk and an RBI.

A+: Visalia - Off Day

A: Kane County - Off Day

A-: Hillsboro 5 @ Salem-Keizer 4. Cody Reed got bounced around for 4 runs on 7 hits in just 2 innings of work. The bullpen was terrific though with 7 shutout innings on 4 hits, 4 walks and 8 strikeouts. Will Landsheft got the win and Brody Greer the save. Alexis Olmeda and Nate Irving each had 3 singles and an RBI while Fernery Ozuna had 2 doubles, a walk and a run scored.

R: Missoula 3 @ Orem 11. The Osprey got toasted as Anfernee Benitez didn't have one of his better games allowing 7 runs (4 earned) in less than 5 innings on 8 hits and 4 walks. Three subsequent relievers each surrendered at least a run each. Kal Simmons had 2 hits including his first home run of the year. Joey Armstrong chipped in with 2 hits.
