Mostly Real Quotes

"It was a little confusing there at the end. I just did what I could, touched first base." - Chris Owings on the final play of the game

"The only dispute were the runners going from first to second and second to third did not touch the advanced bases to complete the play. We would have had an argument going to ether third or second base if there were two outs but because there was only one out that nullified our ability to make that challenge." - Bryan Price on why the Reds couldn't challenge

"He asked me for the ball so I threw it to him. I through he just wanted the game ball to give to Chris or something." - Security Guard on why he threw the ball back

"He gave me more than just a tap. He flat out just whacked me on the rear end." - Jim Day on his new love interest

Editorial Note: I don't think that explanation is correct, even if it was the one that the umpires gave Bryan Price.  However, I do think once the ball was touched by the Security Guard the ball is dead (just like fan interference).  Runners would advance to the next base in accordance to the rules.  There should be no reason you could not challenge both base runners.  Either way I hope Jake and David get their sh** together and never pull that crap again.

Yesterday's Game
