AAA: Reno 8 Albuquerque 4. The Aces got behind 4-0 early but came roaring back with 2 in the 4th and 4 in the 5th capped off by jamie Romak's 20th home run, a 3-run shot in the big inning. Caleb Clay gave up all 4 runs over 5 innings but the bullpen shined with 4 scoreless innings, 2 by Kaleb Fleck. Peter O'Brien had a nice game with a triple and his 17th home run with 2 RBI. Brandon Drury added 2 doubles and an RBI.
AA: Mobile 2 @ Mississippi 1. A.J. Schugel was solid going 5.innings allowing one run on 5 hits and 3 walks while striking out 3. Jake Barrett struck out 4 batters in 1.1 innings and Silvino Bracho did his usual thing closing it out with a perfect 9th for his 10th save. The offense scratched out 2 runs on 5 hits with the RBI coming from Jack Reinheimer and Zack Borenstein.
A+: Visalia - Off Day
A: Kane County 3 Quad Cities 4.The Cougars rallied from behind to tie the game at 3-3 with solo runs in the 8th and 9th innings, then went all the way to the 15th before losing. Brad Keller was solid allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 7 hits and no walks over 6 innings. The relief corps followed with 8 shutout innings and 8 strikeouts and ran out of pitchers, turning to infielder Ryan Gebhardt in the 15th who gave up a hit and a walk for the winning run. Henry Castillo and Joe Munoz had 3 hits each to lead the offense.
A-: Hillsboro 4 Everett 6. Cody Reed did his thing allowing one run over 5 innings on 3 hits and a walk while striking out 6. The defense was the problem after that. They contributed to 2 unearned runs in the 6th before the offense tied it up at 3-3 and eventually sent it into extra innings. The defense then contributed to 3 unearned runs in the top of the 10th that cost them the game. They had 4 errors overall. The offense had 8 scattered hits with 2 by Josh Anderson.
R: Missoula 7 Helena 2. Dallas Newton was decent allowing 2 runs over 5.2 innings on 4 hits and no walks while striking out 5. Four relievers combined to prevent any more runs the rest of the way. Marcus Wilson and Matt McPhearson each had 2 hits and an RBI.
AZL: Dbacks 4 Indians 0. Emilio Vargas was very good with 7 shutout innings on 5 hits and a walk with 4 strikeouts. The offense had only 5 hits but it was enough. Maik Ehmcke had 2 hits and a walk including a double and an RBI while Ramon Hernandez had 2 hits and a walk.
