Diamondbacks 3, Dodgers 4

Could the D-backs gain ground in the NL West by beating the Dodgers in the series finale?

After pitching so well in his previous appearances, Robbie Ray struggled against the NL West leaders giving up 3 runs in the 3rd to all but doom the Dbacks in the series finale. He finished the day with 6 IP, 7 H, 4 ER, 2 BB's, and 6 K's.

The bullpen came on and did it's job, throwing 3 scoreless innings to give the team a chance to comeback with Randall Delgado and Josh Collmenter combining for 3 innings of scoreless relief. It wasn't easy of course, with the Dodgers getting runners on in all 3 innings, but Delgado and Collmenter stranded them to keep them off the scoreboard.

The offense unfortunately wasn't up to the task against lefty Brett Anderson, getting 1 run in the 6th off an Aaron Hill home run. But the Dodgers bullpen was shaky, giving up 1 run in the 8th on a sacrifice fly and a dinger to Peralta in the 9th to make things close. But ultimately, it was too little too late and the D-backs succumbed to Kenley Jansen 4-3.
