Triple-A Reno 7, Tacoma 4. 3B Jamie Romak continues to mash, hitting his 18th home-run of the year, leading off the fourth; the next frame, he added a two-run double as part of a four-spot for the Aces. 2B Brandon Drury doubled and singled, driving in a pair, and CF Todd Glaesmann also had two hits. Edgar Garcia gave Reno a quality start, allowing three runs in six, on six hits and two walks, with three K's. Addison Reed notched his fourth save with a scoreless ninth, around a one-out walk.

Double-A Mobile 3 @ Jacksonville 4 (14). Jimmy Sherfy, the eighth BayBears pitcher used, gave the Suns a walk-off with two outs in the 14th inning. Silvino Bracho blew a save chance in the 10th, after C Mark Thomas's single had given Mobile the lead. Zach Godley allowed two runs in 4.2 innings, leaving the bullpen with nine innings of work - Adam Miller threw three hitless frames. RF Stewart Ijames was a homer short of the cycle, and also walked, and 1B Rudy Flores drew three walks.

High-A Visalis 3, Bakersfield 5. Kevin Vance allowed two runs in the ninth to send the Rawhide to defeat. Blake Perry had allowed two earned runs and one unearned over six innings, on seven hits and a walk, with seven strikeouts, and Johnny Shuttleworth followed with two hitless relief frames, CF Breland Almadova had his third home-run for Visalia and also singled; there were two-hit nights for 1B Kevin Cron and 3B Fidel Pena as well.

A-ball Kane County 0, Cedar Rapids 2. Can't win 'em all. The Cougars' 14-game home winning streak came to an end, as they were blanked by the Kernels, managing only five hits, all singles, and going 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position. Brad Keller was a tough-luck loser, allowing both runs over five innings, on six hits and no walks, with six strikeouts. CF Colin Bray had two of the five hits and a walk, as well as an outfield assist.

A-short. Hillsboro 9, Spokane 0. The boot was on the other foot for the Hops, who held the Indians to four hits. Cody Reed threw six scoreless innings, on three hits and two walks, with eight K's, before Joey Donino and Taylor Clarke completed the shutout. SS Sergio Alcantara drove in four runs, and had two hits. CF Zach Nehrir doubled, had two singles and walked, while DH Trevor Mitsui had a pair of hits and a pair of RBI.

Rookie Missoula - postponed due to rain.

AZL D-backs 4, Angels 3. Emilio Vargas got the W, for five innings of two run ball, on four hits and a walk, with a trio of strikeouts. Merkis Montero struck out three over two scoreless frames, before Kirby Bellow worked around a leadoff error to notch his first save. 1B Ramon Hernandez tripled and singled, scoring twice, and the D-backs prevailed despite going 0-for-11 with RISP.
