Diamondbacks in the 2015 Draft, Day 2

The Diamondbacks kicked off the draft yesterday by taking Dansby Swanson at 1-1. Now we get into the deeper rounds where advanced scouting really kicks in.

The best talent left on the board as we go into Day 2 of the draft is Donny Everett, a right-handed high school pitcher out of Clarksville, Tennessee.

Other surprises from Day 1 include,Daz Cameron falling to the Astros at 37 and Walker Buehler falling to the Dodgers at 24. On the othe side of the surprise equation, the Detroit Tigers had the longest reach of any club in the first day of the draft, selecting Tyler Alexander, a left-handed pitcher from Texas Christian University. The teammate of the Diamondbacks' Alex Young was ranked #327 by Baseball America, but was taken by the Tigers in the second round at #65.

Joining Everett as still on the board when drafting begins again at 10 am MST are Mike Matuella and Jacob Nix, both potential impact guys that have seen their stock drop.

Who will the Diamondbacks take 3-1 and beyond?
