2 stars: Wei-Chieh Huang, Kane County - 8 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 7 SO
1 star: Joey Armstrong, Missoula - 2-for-5, HR (1), two R, three RBI,

Triple-A Reno 6 @ Sacramento 4. The Aces were hamstrung through six innings, scoreless and trailing after the River Cats put up a four-spot in the first against Caleb Clay, who did get through five, on seven hits and a walk, without further damage. Reno got two back in the seventh on a two-run shot by 3B Jamie Romak, his 11th, then got a four-spot of their own in the eighth, keyed by a go-ahead two-run single from SS Cody Ransom. Romak, 2B Jordan Pacheco and CF Todd Glaesmann each got two hits and Kaleb Fleck got the last four outs for his second save.

Double-A Mobile @ Pensacola SUSPENDED.

Ah, the glamor of the minor-leagues... The game was stopped after three innings, with Pensacola up 1-0. It'll be completed as part of a double-header tomorrow.

High-A Visalia 2, Rancho Cucamonga 4. 1B Kevin Cron's 14th and 15th home-runs of the season were all the productive offense - and, indeed, the only extra-base hits - the Rawhide could muster, having only two AB (and going hitless) with runners in scoring position. Anthony Banda took the loss, scattering seven hits and two walks over six innings. He was charged with four runs (one unearned) and struck out six. Bud Jeter worked three scoreless innings of relief.

A-ball Kane County 2, Wisconsin 1 (11). Wei-Chieh Huang continued his stellar streak of starts with eight innings of two-hit ball, one walk and seven strikeouts, allowing one run. He has yet to allow more than one earned run in five games, and has a 0.85 ERA. But he didn't get the decision, as the Cougars offense was almost as handcuffed. They finally prevailed with two outs in the 11th, when a single from PH Michael Perez scored Cody Regis for a walk-off win. 2B Ildemaro Vargas had a hit and a walk.

A-short Hillsboro 5 @ Spokane 6. The Hops clawed their way back three times, immediately responding each time the Indians scored, to tie things up. However, they had no way to respond when Spokane walked it off in the bottom of the ninth. LF Zach Nehor and 1B Nate Robertson each had a double and a single, Nehor notching a pair of RBI. Starter Tyler Bolton scattered ten hits and a walk over five innings, allowing five runs, four earned. Myles Smith struck out five in two hitless innings of relief.

Rookie Missoula 8 @ Helena 6. The Osprey got their campaign off to a flying start (hohoho), a four-run sixth inning breaking a 3-3 tie. LF Joey Armstrong had Missoula's first home-run of 2015, and there was a couple of bases-loaded walks in the frame. RF Jason Morozowski doubled, singled and walked, while SS Isan Diaz had a hit, two walks, and a stolen-base. Bo Takahashi got the W, giving up three runs over five, on six hits and four walks with three K's.
