Aaron Blair made his first start for AAA Reno and it could not have gone worse. He was tagged for 8 earned runs in just 4 innings of work allowing 7 hits, 2 walks and 2 home runs on 81 pitches. Welcome to the PCL!

AAA: Reno 6 Tacoma 9. Aaron Blair was rudely introduced to the hitting mecca of Reno and got blasted for 8 earned runs over 4 innings. A 2-run homer by Mike Freeman in the 5th followed by a 3-run blast by Jamie Romak in the 6th cut the lead to 9-6 but that was the end of the scoring.

AA: Mobile 5 @ Pensacola 3. A.J. Schugel was very sharp again tossing 7 shutout innings on 6 hits and a walk while striking out 8. Unfortunately he got robbed of the win when Jake Barrett got rocked for 4 hits and 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th. Credit the offense for rallying in the 9th on a 2-run double by Rudy Flores. It was a nervous 9th for Silvino Bracho who loaded the bases with 2 outs before striking out Marlon Byrd to end the game. Gabriel Guerrero led the offense with 3 hits including 2 doubles and an RBI. Rudy Flores went 2 for 3 and walked twice as part of his game-winning effort. Brandon Drury and Zach Borenstein each added a pair of hits.

A+: Visalia 6 @ Lancaster 14. In one of the CAL League's infamous home run parks this game saw 8 home runs hit (4 by each time) but the Rawhide were on the losing end. Blake Perry gave up 2 of them plus 5 walks and 8 hits as he allowed 7 earned runs. Mason McCullough and Joey Krehbiel each gave up a home run as any chance of a comeback was snuffed out. Daniel Palka hit a pair of home runs though both were solo shots. Stryker Trahan went 2 for 4 and hit his 3rd home run while Stewart Ijames hit his 15th.

A: Kane County 8 Wisconsin 7. The Cougars looked to be on their way to a fairly comfortable win before the bullpen imploded and converted a 3-run lead into a 2-run deficit. The offense rallied for 3 runs on a Joe Munoz single, a hit batter and a balk. Hey, any way you can get them! Markus Solbach pitched well allowing 2 runs over 6 innings. Victor Reyes went 3 for 3 with a walk and an RBI. Joe Munoz had 2 hits including a double and an RBI while Cody Regis also had 2 hits with a triple and 2 RBI.
