Dbacks MiLB Round-Up 6/15: Palka Homers, Drives in Four

Daniel Palka took his turn delivering for the potent Visalia offense with his 9th home run and 4 RBI in a wild 14-11 win on Monday. Palka's having a solid season for the Rawhide, his 3rd as a professional and is probably doing enough where he'll earn a promotion to Mobile next season. He probably needs to take another step forward to really get excited about his future, particularly in cutting down on his strikeouts.

Snake Stars
3 Stars: Daniel Palka, Visalia 2 for 6, 1 R, 1 DBL, 1 HR (9), 4 RBI
2 Stars: Alex Glenn, Visalia 3 for 5, 2 R, 1 DBL, 4 RBI
1 Star: Jamie Romak, Reno 3 for 4, 2 R, 1 DBL, 1 TPL
0 Stars: Brandon Sinnery, Mobile 4.2 IP, 4 H, 6 BB, 5 K, 4 ER, L (4-6)

AAA: Reno 4 Tacoma 10. Reno's season is really tail-spinning as they got blown out again behind a poor outing from Edgar Garcia who allowed 5 runs in less than 5 innings. The bullpen and some bad defense threw gas on the fire as Evan Marshall and Matt Stites allowed 5 unearned runs between them. Jamie Romak was the lone bright spot going 3 for 4 with a double and a triple.

AA: Mobile 2 Jackson 6. The BayBears have also hit the skids of late dropping to 4 games under .500. Brandon Sinnery's struggles continued as he walked 6 in 4+ innings and surrendered 4 earned runs. The offense came up with 11 hits and 3 walks but could only push 2 runs across going 1 for 10 with RISP. Gabriel Guerrero went 2 for 4 with a double but was also caught stealing. Zach Borenstein had 2 hits and 2 walks while Sean Jamieson and Matt Jones each added a pair of singles. Brandon Drury went 0 for 5 with 2 strikeouts.

A+: Visalia 14 @ Lancaster 11. Both offenses were the story here as the Rawhide worked out to a 10-4 lead only to see it disappear by the 5th inning. They did score 3 runs late and the bullpen made it stand up. Blayne Weller wasn't his best allowing 9 runs (5 earned) in just 4 innings. Daniel Gibson and Nick Sarianides locked down the 8th and 9th innings to secure the win. Daniel Palka had a big 3-run homer and a run-scoring double to drive in 4 runs. Alex Glenn also drove in 4 on 3 hits including a double. Stewart Ijames hit his 14th homer, a 2-run shot in the 5th, and Stryker Trahan hit his 2nd for Visalia.
