Diamondbacks 6, Dodgers 7

One bad inning ruined the Dbacks chances to capture at least one win in this series.

Jeremy Hellickson had been surprisingly effective in his past couple starts, but that streak did not continue today as he couldn't make it out of the 4th inning. He gave up 2 homers, a 3-run homer to Yasiel P**g and a solo homer to Yasmani Grandal, before leaving in the 4th inning. The bullpen came on and did it's job, going 5 2/3 innings giving up just 2 runs, unfortunately for us one of those runs was a walk-off in the bottom of the 9th.

The offense started fast and kept it going all night long. Paul Goldschmidt again provided most of the thump with a career-high 4 hits, including a 2-run homer to right field. Yasmani Tomas also showed the power we all had been waiting for, with 3 hard hit balls. One hit about halfway up the wall for a long single, another left the yard to left field and the last was robbed of a hit when Job Pederson leapt and made a fabulous play to rob Tomas of at least extra bases, if not a home run.
