Mobile's Yoan Lopez was very sharp in five shutout innings despite the bullpen losing the game. he allowed just one hit and walked three while striking out two. He's sporting a 2.22 ERA with 20 strikeouts in 28 innings though the walk total is on the high side at 11. AAA: Reno 4 Sacramento 8. A.J. Schugel wasn't his best when he got roughed up for 6 runs in the 4th inning and got the hook. The bullpen was decent allowing just one run over 5+ innings but the offense couldn't respond. Jamie Romak went 2 for 5 with 2 doubles and Trayvon Robinson went 2 for 4 with a double.
AA: Mobile 3 @ Biloxi 4. Yoan Lopez had the Bears in position to win with 5 shutout innings but relievers RJ Hively and Will Locante each gave up 2 runs and that was enough to steal the win. Brandon Drury was 2 for 5 with a triple and an RBI. Tom Belza was 2 for 5 with a double and Rudy Flores had a pair of singles.
A+: Visalia 11 @ Rancho Cucamonga 7. The pitching was pretty shaky all around while the Rawhide offense took charge with a 15-hit attack and helped notch the win. Blake Perry was pretty shaky early on but sttled down to get through 6 innings allowing 5 runs. The bullpen held it together from there. Jamie Westbrook had a big game with three hits including a double and 4 RBI. Stewart Ijames had 2 hits including his 7th home run and 3 RBI. Breland Almadova and Kevin Medrano also had three hits each.
