To the surprise of nobody, tonight's scheduled Diamondbacks-Rockies game has been postponed to a later date due to heavy rain in Denver.
What was a little surprising is that they waited over two hours to call the game, there were mumblings that the weather could be even worse tomorrow and that they were hoping to get tonight in, but it was not meant to be.
No make up date has been announced yet. There are two more games in this current series tomorrow and Wednesday. The Diamondbacks are in Denver again June 23-25 with an open day on Monday the 22nd.
Tomorrow's game is scheduled for 5:40 first pitch Arizona time. Should it be rained out tomorrow, a doubleheader will be played on Wednesday. According to Nick Piecoro, both teams will be going with their scheduled rotations, so that means Josh Collmenter tomorrow and Robbie Ray making his Diamondbacks debut Wednesday.
