SnakePit Fantasy Baseball: Week 4

Who let the Gattis out of the bag?

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports
Week 4 Games

AZ SnakePit 4, Socrates Burritos 6
A homer-heavy contest, the sides putting up 21 in total. Socrates had Hitter of the Week Gatting (five HR, 12 RBI) but Snake had four HR by Cruz. However, the Burritos got strong pitching, with a sub-three ERA; Teheran got a W + 10 K, and Cole a W and zero ERA. Rodney saved three for AZ.

MyWieterGetzLongoria 6, Smell the Glove 2
Smell got three HR and seven RBI from Kipnis to keep up at the plate; Morales drove in 10 for Wiener. But on the mound, it was just about all Longoria, coming within one Sv of a sweep. Pitcher of the Week Gray gave them two W and 16 K, while Storen notched a trio of Saves.

Angry Saguaro 3, Yasmany as Possible 7
Yasmany picked up their first victory of the season, and lifted themselves off the bottom. Three Saves from Miller led their pitching, while Springer got two HR and scored seven. The Saguaro picked up a pair of homers from Martin, who also scored six runs, but they came up well short.

Trail-Hitters 5, Rougned Hodor 5
The ESPN Game of the Week lived up to expectations, resulting in this round's closest game. The Hodors had the edge on hitting, Bautista and Moss driving in seven; Trail's Bruce had two HR. But roles were reversed in pitching, where the Hitters' Hammel picked up a Win and 11 K's.

Dirk Ziegler 4, What the Hellickson? 6
Pederson (four HR, six RBI) helped Hellickson stay in touch on hitting, despite Cabrera's three HR and six RBI for Dirk. Hellickson were then able to pull away in pitching, behind Price's two Wins and 10 strikeouts, plus Perkins' three Saves. Hamels got a W and 15 K's for Ziegler.

Alabama Slammers 2, Waffles 8
The week's biggest shock saw the Slammers upended and sent to their first defeat, crashing to the Waffles in this round's top blow-out. Waffles swept hitting, batting .321 as Reddick hit three HR and drove in 12, Travis adding two HR and seven RBI. Shields had a W and 19 K for Alabama.

Mizzoula Osprey 2, CGS 7
The Osprey are an endangered species, sinking to last after this defeat. They got six Runs from Mauer, but that and strikeouts (by one) were their only wins. Otherwise, it was all CGS: Braun had four HR and eight RBI, while Bumgarner and Gonzalez each notched a Win and nine K's.
