Sure some people have said some stuff, but which one is fake?
"His numbers are tremendous. He should have more wins. We haven't given him much run support. But sure he should be considered." - Chip Hale on Chase Anderson's bid for the All Star Game
"Free Pete O'Brien!" - weaselpuppy on the Saltalamacchia call up
"No, I've been nervous lots of times." - Ted Striker during taking off
"We definitely know we can play with one of the best teams in the league, for sure. We were right there every game. I think it shows some areas where we can grow as a team, try to win some of those close games instead of losing them. We were real close." - Brad Ziegler on the teams hopes this year
"I picked a hell of a day to stop sniffing glue." - Dr. Rumack when discovering half the plane was poisoned
Arizona Diamondbacks have a few with a chance at making the All-Star Game - Major League Baseball released the first of what will be many updates on All-Star Game voting Wednesday, and it wasn't a rosy sight for Diamondbacks fans.
Diamondbacks expected to call up Jarrod Saltalamacchia on Friday - Jarrod Saltalamacchia was cut loose by the Marlins earlier this month after proving to be a disappointment in his three-year, $21 million contract, but he quickly latched on with the Diamondbacks on a minor league deal and Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports that he's expected to be called up from Triple-A Reno tomorrow.
Preview: Brewers vs. Diamondbacks - The Arizona Diamondbacks didn't have quite enough to win any of their three games against baseball's top team. They'll try for better results versus the majors' worst as they visit the slumping Milwaukee Brewers on Friday night.
A Better Series Preview - Dare I say that in the last two weeks the Diamondbacks are playing well? They are! Their five game winning streak impressed me! Is another series sweep possible? But do I remember what happened when I recently predicted a sweep in an away series? Though the Brewers have the worst win-loss record in the majors, though the Brewers are riding a five game losing streak, the Brewers are playing adequately enough to prevent a sweep.
Arizona Diamondbacks: What’s wrong with Archie Bradley? - Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Archie Bradley was lit up again on Tuesday. The St. Louis Cardinals smashed Bradley for six runs while he only managed to record 11 outs, and when he was yanked in the fourth he was responsible for two runners. In Bradley's last three starts he has averaged just over three innings pitched per game, and has an era of 12.35. Are Bradley's struggles cause for concern for the Diamondbacks? Definitely. Bradley was expected to come up from the minors and head the weak D-Backs rotation by default. Right now, Bradley is pretty far from being the ace he was once expected to be.
THE DIAMONDBACKS FINALLY APPEAR TO BE HEADING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION - After a series of tumultuous years under former GM Kevin Towers and ex-manager Kirk Gibson, it looks like the Arizona Diamondbacks have turned the corner and are heading for greener pastures. Arizona is just 21-25 this season, but last year, the team fell four games below .500 on April 3rd, and never got to that level again. Framed in that context, a 21-25 record is downright miraculous, especially considering that the club is just a game behind the San Diego Padres (who had an incredibly active and attention-grabbing offseason) in the NL West standings.
